We arrived in India and celebrated Holi, the first day of summer, in style. Celebrating Holi was the best introduction to India we could ask for. People come and apply streaks of colored powder on your face and say "Happy Holi". Garrett says "Do not put paint on someone unless it's Holi!" Grant says "Holi is when buckets of color is poured on top of you and you get soaked. It happened to me twice!" Mom couldn't stop smiling and Dad even went out and danced in the colors. Happy Holi everywhere!!
Oh man does that sound like fun! Looking forward to more pictures once you come home. Have fun together and enjoy your time. I look forward to reading your adventures thru India. Thanks for thinking of me.

Getting covered with colored powder is a great way to start a visit to India. We are looking forward to getting more pictures so we can visit too.

Fantastic welcome! Glad to see you all got to India safe and sound and are off to some great adventures. Grant, I think I'll share the blog with our class so they can see some of the cool things you're doing while we're stuck in Illinois this week. Happy Holi!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! What a great way to start the trip! Hope you have many more awesome adventures to come!
ReplyDeleteWe think this should become an American holiday, too! :)
